My dog only eats beef and liver. Nothing else.

I never worry about my dog having the resource guarding mood. My dog sees me as the Alpha so she knows I can take whatever I want from her. If your dog snaps at you for taking something away then you have no control over your dog and it lacks discipline.

I can’t seem to source anywhere near the amounts of things many raw feeders can source. So, instead of focusing on balanced, I focus on nutritious. Just like when feeding my family, I want to put a nutritious meal in her bowl. I do this by rotating Dr. Harvey’s base mixes Paradigm and Raw Vibrance, and I switch the ground protein after every pound is fed, and I rotate between sardines, smelt, olive oil, and coconut oil. I only have chicken liver, but I will soon pick up some beef liver as well, and I just got some gizzards. I focus on what his the markdown section at my supermarket, and what frozen meats friends and family are throwing away. I also include a frozen raw pre-made food in the rotation.

I make my own peanut butter with organic peanuts. The only treat I put the peanut butter in is a frozen treat with organic coconut yogurt. As far as what I put in his bowl, I use a recipe by a world renown vet who has practiced traditional veterinary medicine for 30+ years, and wholistic and Chinese medicine for over 20 years. Her recipe has a small portion of veggies, but it's a well balanced recipe that can be fed raw or gently cooked. I add organic quinoa and 4 oz peas and 4 oz green beans for fiber (in a 14 pound loaf) because my dog started eating grass. Since I started adding some fiber, he eats much less grass.

My dogs NEVER accepted to eat kibbles !!! That tells all. Of course, if you only give them kibbles, they will have to accept them ! But it does not mean that they like that. If they could choose, they would not choose kibbles.

Not all peanut butters contain trans fats (ie hydrogenated oils). A natural PB like Adam's or many organic brands wouldn't contain those.

What if our dogs REFUSE to eat raw (aside from the occasional raw ground beef or raw chicken muscle meat) and they REFUSE to eat raw bones no matter how small and appropriate in size for them? My dog seems to HATE raw. 😐

Can i feed all of these to ferrets? And if not which ones can i feed and which ones cant i feed?

My pups eat a raw carnivore diet as they did in the wild. Every so often I give them carrots or cauliflower to munch on. Not an inexpensive way to eat especially with 3 pups but I hope they live long healthy lives avoiding the vet as much as possible.

This is the most misleading video. There is no trans fats in plain peanut butter. That’s in peanut butter like the Skippy or Jiffy brands but NOT peanut butter made with peanuts and nothing else!! Also when you say, “Studies show…” then list in the foot notes who DID those studies. WHAT studies? Plain rice is fine for dogs too and vegetables are GOOD for dogs. Btw, cats are carnivorous animals but NOT dogs. Dogs are naturally Omnivorous!!

Ive not watched all the way through, but breed makes a big difference. A giant breed puppy does not have the same nutritional needs as a chihuahua puppy from my understanding.

My Jack Russell is 14 years old. She had Pancreatitis and Colitis so I cook her, Organic Chicken Breast, Sweet Potatoes and lots of Organic Carrots. She is Thriving, I also give her Probiotics and Slippery Elm Powder for the Colitis, it has proved Excellent. She looks and feels like a Puppy again, so Thankful !

the fact i dont havd mussels & pork at all in my country, ppl do not eat these , so for mussels is there any substitute?

hello i have a question! hope you answer this (so i boil my cats food and want to switch to steaming then slowly go raw , as its a lil hard for me to go suddenly as its hard to find some of these parts in my area) so the steamer tray has holes right ? so while steaming the beef all of the juice drips from the holes and is wasted in the water , so my question is "can i use that water as broth ? as it contains most of the juice of whatever i steam or it would be not a good idea to do so and make my broth separately, please guide 💜🌸

I’m just laughing reading all these comments about peanut butter. People it is an ingredient. Your dog does not need. Provides nothing to their diet. It makes you feel good when you give your dog a treat. That’s all. In some rare cases, it can be helpful and getting medicine into your dog but even then please try to find an alternative.

It is as hard to convince pet parents that their animals do not need carbohydrates as it is to convince human parents of the same things for their kids and themselves. It is an uphill battle. We have been lied to by big food companies and the government for decades. That is why the obesity and diabetes rates in humans and in pets has skyrocketed. Do some research people and you will realize it. don’t kill the messenger. Everything she said today is 100% correct.

I have also noticed a big uptick in the amount of vegetables and supplements, nuts, and seeds, etc. in diets online now. Absolutely unnecessary. Waste of money. Does not benefit the dog at all. People need to get back to the basics. Animal protein, and may be a teensy-weensy amount of low glycemic veggies now and then if needed.

A few comments: first, not all peanut butters contain trans fat (or even sugar sometimes), and beef does has some at about 6% of its fat. And second, I agree that rice isn't a fitting food for dogs, but I'm skeptical about using the glycemic index, as dogs can't make amylase as effectively as people. I have a different idea as to the cause of pet obesity, but that's not relevant. Also, apparently high fiber was a big contributer to the grain free food DCM scare, and not just legumes.

If you whisk the egg up the dog typically will eat all, rather then leave the white behind, even if you can only afford cheaper eggs, they are still a great source nutrition.

i have 23 cats and i only feed them chicken meat and sometimes fish i got some for free from a friend otherwise i a have to be a millionaire to feed them this every day twice xD i also have 1 dog ...i wish i can feed them the healthiest food but this will cost me a lot sadly everything is expensive here especially during the war

I think feeding dogs homemade food is fine, but I'm not interested in feeding raw. There are parasites in fish, pork, and lamb, among other risks, and the benefits appear quite limited.

Your videos are very well done but you make it so complicated that you immobilize more people than you motivate. No matter how "easy" you say it is, you're not doing it the easy way. I've never paid the slightest attention to "balance" and I've home prepped a raw diet to all my animals for 25 years. I've had nothing but long lived dogs and zero vet bills in all that time. I have never given a supplement to a dog or cat. You show clips of someone sitting in a doctor's office and then claim that when that happens, nutrient deficiency is the cause. Hogwash! This idea has empowered and enriched the supplement industry. The reason people get sick is EXCESS, not deficiency! Excess garbage food, excess fat, excess calories, excess everything except real, biologically appropriate food. Good grief, look at the wild model. Wolves and other wild dogs don't eat like this.

What about special dog peanut butter? Is it okay to give dogs special doggy ice cream as an occasional treat?

Is that one meal?

We'd go mad trying to work out everything to the last gram and nutrient etc etc... common sense tells me feed them good quality human grade food with a common sense proportionality...more muscle, some bone some organ some fibre othwrwise i wont do anything besides planning my pets food.

I am gonna buy mussels now. Other things I give my cats plenty of it
